STEP 2: CHOOSING THE SHAPE OF THE TOP

The next step in the design process is the choosing of the top's shape. This decision should be made with the purpose of this table in mind. If its location will be dedicated to the specific use of this table then a larger, more square design may be the prudent decision. The most space and practicality is afforded when a square design is chosen. A rounder more oblong top will provide adequate space to seat people while still providing you with the option to use the rest of the room otherwise. This option is due to the space gained by rounding the corners enabling you to walk around the table with more ease.
